Designing in Teheran
Architecture competition for Benetton buildings in Teheran, 2009
In 2009 I and my friend Matteo Radaelli took part of “Designing in Teheran”. The international competition, launched by the Italian fashion brand United Colors of Benetton, was to develop a design for two multistory buildings in Iran’s capital city of Teheran. Designers were called to integrate the new structures in the local urban and commercial setting while taking in account cultural and technical aspects. The jury, comprised of Odile Decq, Cino Zucchi, Makio Hasuike, Tobia Scarpa, Luis Pereira Miguel, Tatiana Sambo, and Michele Zanella. Unfortunately our project has not been selected among the winners, however it was the starting point of an amazing five days journey between Teheran and Isfahan.
